BORNO STATE
On 08th April 2024, information has it that gallant troops of Operation HADIN KAI, neutralized six of the terrorists who killed its personnel along Biu-Buni Road, Borno State. The Director, Defence Media Operations, Edward Buba, who made these known, clarified that one Lieutenant was killed.
SOKOTO STATE
on 08th April 2024, nine (9) persons feared dead, and several others injured during a stamped that reportedly occurred at Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko house in Sokoto during the distribution of Sallah palliatives.
NASARAWA STATE
On 08th April 2024, the Police in Nasarawa State, alongside Vigilantes and Volunteers in Aso Pada, Mararaba Community in Karu LGA, killed a suspected armed robber who had been causing unrest in the area and arrested one other suspect. This was disclosed by DSP Ramhan Nansel, the Police spokesperson.
TARABA STATE
On 08th April 2024, trailer conveying cows crashed in Jalingo, Taraba State, report has it that three people and several cows were killed some good number of cows ran away from the scene but were later recovered in different parts of Jalingo. Taraba State.
On 08th April 2024, a large crowd welcomed “Kidnap Kingpin’’, Hamisu Bala, better known as Wadume, to his hometown in Ibbi, Taraba State. He was arrested by the Intelligence Response Team of the Inspector General of Police in 2019.
PLATEAU STATE
On 08th April 2024, report indicated that the Coalition of Fulani Organizations in Plateau State has appealed to security agencies, particularly Operation Safe Heaven (OPSH), to assist in recovering rustled cattle from Mangu, Bokkos and Bassa LGAs.
On 08th April 2024, rainstorm destroyed 50 houses and shops in several communities in Jos South LGA, Plateau State.
FEDERAL CAPITAL TERRITORY (FCT)
On 08th April 2024, many stolen items were recovered during a coordinated operation by the FCT Police Command in criminal hideout in Durumi and Dei-Dei axis of Abuja recently. Several suspects were also arrested.
On 12th April 2024, a female passenger was killed, and nine others injured in two road accidents on the Abuja-Lokaja highway. First accident happened around 4am when commercial Toyota hiace bus with Reg No, AKD 800 YG collided with a DAF trailer with Reg No, KMC 79 YR in Kwaita Village and left several passengers injured. They were later rushed to Abaji District Hospital by officials of the FRSC. The second accident happened in Sheda Village, also involving a toyota hiace bus without Reg No. One person was killed and two others sustained injuries.
