Ø On the 30th April, 2024. Four kidnap and murder suspects allegedly involved in the recent inter-confraternity clashes between different cult groups in Eket LGA and its environs have been arrested. The State Police Public Relations Officer ASP Timfon John, who said the suspects confessed to the crime, added that the command was determined to rid the state of criminal eleents. |

Ø On the 29th April, 2024. Seina Bus collided with a packed faulty truck, one person killed, and others sustained injuries along the Igbariam axis of the Enugu-Onisha expressway in Anambra State. The Anambra State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the crash. Charles Iyiegbuniwe, FRSC’s Public Education Officer in the State said the crash affected a total of 10 individuals-seven males and three females, injured persons were swiftly taken to Toronto Hospital by bystanders before the arrival of the FRSC rescue team he added. |

Ø On the 29th April, 2024. Ten (10) persons have been reportedly killed by gunmen in separate attacks in Agatu and Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State. Information has it that five people were killed by gunmen in different communities in Aguta LGA, another five were murdered in the Mbasombo ward of Gwer East. A member representing Agatu Constituency in the State’s House of Assembly, Godwin Abu Confirmed the killings, lamenting that the worrisome situation had become a regular occurrence. Also, the Council Chairman of Gwer East, Mrs. Comfort Agbo confirmed the incident. Ø On the 02nd May, 2024. Men of the Benue State Community Volunteer Guards (BSCVG) arrested Levi Tyokyaa and Anongo Msughter for vandalizing an oil pipe in Kachi, Apiir axis of Ikpayongo in Gwer East LGA. The Commander of BSCVG, Captain Ayuma Ajobi (Rtd.) said the arrest was among the numerous ones carried out by his men all over the state.

Ø On the 03rd May, 2024. According to eye witnesses, some alleged repentant Boko Haram insurgents invaded a police station in Maiduguri to set free their colleagues that were arrested earlier over alleged drug offence. Police Public Relations Officer in Borno State, Kenneth Daso, who confirmed that there was an incident at the Police station, said the assailants were repelled by officers on duty. |

Ø On the 30th April, 2024. Operatives of the Delta State Police Command rescued two kidnap victims and arrested two suspects. SP Edafe Bright, Spokesman of the Police in the State said the victims were abducted on Isoko Road in Ughelli North LGA. Bright, who gave the names of the two suspects as Edadfe Akporeren (27) and Igho Midiraya (34), said they were arrested by combined team of Police and Vigilantes, after storming Eruemukohwarian community suspected to be hoodlums’ hideout. |

Ø On the 29th April, 2024. Report has it that the Edo State Police Command has arrested seven suspects for alleged involvement in cult related killing in the State. The State Commissioner Funsho Agdegboye, said the suspects who were members of the Black Axe and Eiye Groups, were arrested and weapons recovered by the operatives of South-Ibie Division and Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber Crime Unit. He said the suspects would be charged in court. Ø On the 29th April, 2024. The Police Command arrested three suspects Jackson Aluche (45), Oke Okoro (30), and Oluchukwu Chukwuma (18), for allegedly breaking a crude oil pipe and siphoning the crude in Edo State. The suspects were arrested based on credible intelligence at Obazagbon community in Orhiomwon Local Government Area of the State. The Commissioner of Police Funsho Adeboye confirmed the arrest. Ø On the 02nd May, 2024. The suspect who allegedly attacked the Policemen on Patrol with a gun in Benin city have been arrested. The Police Commissioner of Edo State Ugbekun Sakponb, confirmed this. Ø On the 02nd May, 2024. Report has it that Operatives of the Edo State Police Command arrested five Men, Osaremen Ojo, Kikiowo Olassunkanmi, Famous Agbontaen, Osasu Omette and Agho David, for allegedly invading Utekon community to cause a communal war. The Commissioner of Police funsho Adgboye, confirmed the arrest of five men with guns, three battle axes, cutlasses and other weapons which was used to attack people. |

Ø On the 29th April, 2024. A 34-year-old man known as Dare Onipede, has allegedly stabbed his wife, Arinola, 32-year-old to death at Christ Avenue in the Adebayo area of Ado-Ekiti, the State Capital following an accusation of infidelity in Ekiti State. DSP Sunday Abutu, Ekiti State Police Command’s Public Relation Officer confirmed the incident. Ø On the 29th April, 2024. The Ekiti State Police Command arrested a notorious motorcycle snatcher, Bernard Shadrach, in Oye Local Government Area of the State. DSP Sunday Abutu, Spokesman of the command said the suspect who specialized in snatching motorcycles from motorcyclists was arrested in collaboration with some residents in Oye-Ekiti. Ø On the 30th April, 2024. Report has it that the Ekiti State Police Command has paraded a set off twins, OlusojiKehinde and Olusoji Taiwo over alleged burglary and receiving stolen property. The Command Spokesman Sunday Abutu, disclosed that the suspects were arrested while attempting to break a shop on Mathew Street, Odo-Ado-Ekiti. The suspects confessed also that they were responsible for burgling three shops in the Fayemi Market at Agric Olope in Ado-Ekiti. Ø On the 03rd April, 2024. The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested eight alleged motorcycle snatchers, Adebayo Bashiru, Oluyemi Kunle, Gabriel Isaac, Abubakar Abdullahi, Macon Andrew, Peter Ninfa, Lawali Ibrahim and Kabiru Abdullahi. The Commissioner of Police Mr. Akinwale Adeniran, said the recent robberies, especially snatching of motorcycles within Ado-Ekiti and other identified areas led to arrest of the suspects. |

Ø On the 29th April, 2024. Kidnapped pregnant woman, Mrs. Chinwendu Igwe have been rescued by the Police in Enugu State in collaboration with the neighborhood watch Group and Forest Guards without ransom payment from her captors. The Police Public Relation Officer in the State DSP Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed this. Ø On the 02nd May, 2024. Report has it that an auto crash along the Enugu/Opi/Nsukka road in Ekwegbe, Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu Sate, resulted in loss of Sixteen (16) lives after a Toyota Hummer Bus burst into flames upon crashing into a fence. The Enugu Sate Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed the incident and revealed that the accident occurred around 5:20pm. |

Ø On the 30th April, 2024. Three hunters identify as; liyasu Musa, Sani Galadima and Yakubu Alhassan have been shot dead and a couple and 14 others abducted in Abashiya village in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State. Many residents of neighbouring Azzara, Badoko, Gashi, Gidan Busa and Western Katari villages fled from their homes. The Secretary of the Jere Emirate Council Aliyu Zubairu, confirmed the incident. The Spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command SP Hassan Mansur, did not respond on the incident. Ø On the 03rd May, 2024. Suspected bandits attacked Maraban Agyaro where they abducted the village head’s of Kakangi and Kisaya Villages and killed eight villagers in Birnin Gwari LGA of Kaduna State. The Member Representing Kakangi Ward at the State House of Assembly Yahaya Musa Dan Salio, confirmed the incident, said all the eight people killed were from Kakangi. |

Ø On the 29th April, 2024. Nineteen (19) out of twenty two (22) persons involved in auto crash were burnt to death at the Okene-Lokoja highway in Kogi State. The Public Relation Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Assistant Corps Marshal Jonas Agwu, stated that the accident involved a Dangote Cement truck and a Toyota Hiance bus. Ø On the 02nd May, 2024. Suspected kidnapper Abubakar Ali Damina (43), has been arrested in Ofodo Village near Egabada town in Igalamela-Odolu LGA of Kogi State. Abubakar who hails from Bida LGA of Niger State, was arrested in a joint operation by security forces. SP Williams Aya, the State Police Command Spokesman who was contacted did not respond. Ø On the 03rd April, 2024. Three persons were reportedly killed when gunmen launched an attack on the Ajokpachi Odo community in Omala Local Government Area of Kogi State. The Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Omala LGA Hon. Marknoble Peter Edib, confirmed the incident. He lamented the plight of his people in the hand of alleged herdsmen and Agatu militia in Benue and Nasarawa. |

Ø On the 30th April, 2024. Information has it that three guards at a private hostel in Malete, were remanded for allegedly gang-raping lady in hostel. Kwara State Magistrate Court sitting in Ilorin lad by Ibrahim Dasuki has ordered the remand of one Toyin Toheeb (21), Jamiu Abdullah ((18) and Aliu Mustapha (18) at the Federal Correctional Center for gang-raping an 18-year-old girl (name withheld). |

Ø On the 29th April, 2024. Homicide detectives from the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Yaba, recovered the body of a young man, Azeez, who allegedly jumped into the lagoon in the Ikoyi area of the state to avoid his arrest, caught by a security guard identified as Elijah Amos for allegedly stealing some bags of cement. The Lagos State Police Spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident. Ø On the 30th April, 2024. Detectives from the Lagos State Police Command arrested a 44-year-oldman Tosin Kumoliga, while allegedly vandalising a rail line fence in Ilupeju area. Command’s Spokesman Benjami Hundeyin, explained that at about 12am officers from the Ilupeju Division intercepted the suspect in the Cappa area vandalising the fence. Ø On the 03rd April, 2024. Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested five miscreants, Oluwasegun Oluwafemi (28), Ahmed Kayode (30), Benedit Kayme (29), Popoola Afeez (30) and Patrick Oleka (28), for vandalising vehicles parked along the road in Oregon area of Ikeja. Ø On the 03rd April, 2024. Report has it that a middle-aged man lost his life and several others sustained injuries during a violent clash that erupted among hoodlums in the Ile-Epo market area of Abule-Egbe, Lagos State. Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relation Officer disclosed that over 50 suspect were arrested for their involvement in the unrest.

Ø On the 29th April, 2024. Information has it that three days after Soldiers were withdrawn from the Allawa community in Shiroro Niger State, residents said bandits have invaded the area and stolen foodstuffs and livestock. A resident, Mallam Yahuza Allawa said that bandits entered Allawa and adjoining communities and carted away foodstuffs and other valuables including goats and other domestic animals. Ø On the 30th April, 2024. Police in Niger State arrested two vigilantes, Sabiu Hassa (26) and Ibrahim Ahore, over alleged theft of a motorcycle. The Command Spokesman SP Wasiu Abiodun, paraded the suspects alongside others. Ø On the 03rd April, 2024. The police in Niger State arrested four ex-convicts, Yahaya Muhammad, Ayuba Simon, Alias Douglas and Alias Junior over alleged robbery in Brighter Area of Minna, the state capital. |

Ø On the 02nd May, 2024. Jethro Onose, student at the Nigeria Navy Secondary School Imeri, in Ose LGA of Ondo State, who was abducted by gunmen has regained freedom. Onose was kidnaped alongside his father Maliki Onose while returning to school after the three-weeks holiday. Adetunji Adeleye, Commander of the Ondo State Security Agency otherwise known as Amotekun Corps, confirmed the rescue of the student and his father. |

Ø On the 03rd April, 2024. Bandits operating in Sokoto State ambushed members of the Joint Task Force (CJTF) killed nine, abducted three and several others sustained various degree of injuries. The incident occurred at Isa LGA, known to be a stronghold of bandits and a dangerous zone for security operatives. |

Ø On the 29th April, 2024. The Yobe State Government has said meningitis has killed 85 persons between January and April following the outbreak of the disease in the State. Dr. Gana the State’s Commissioner for Health, stated this during a briefing in Damaturu, the state capital. Ø On the 30th April, 2024. Sheba Simon, has been stabbed and her phone snatched by a young man in Maimalari Quarters, Damaturu, Yobe State. The Spokesman of the State Police Command DSP Dungus Abdulkareem, confirming the incident said the victim was rushed to the Specialist Hospital Damaturu, adding that investigation was ongoing. |

Ø On the 30th April, 2024. Information has it that an Assistant Superintendent of Police ASP Kulu, alongside her accomplice, one Elizabeth has been arrested by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command for allegedly abducting five children including a less than two-week-old-baby girl from Sokoto State. The FCT Police Public Relations Officer SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed that investigations were ongoing. Ø On the 30th April, 2024. The family of a 400-level Student of the University of Abuja, Murjanatu Zubairu, who was declared missing on Friday 26th April has confirmed her death. An Uncle to the deceased student, former Vice Chairman of Kwali Area Council, Alhaji Zubairu Jibrinb Yewuti, confirmed her death. The Lugbe Unit Commander of the Federal Road safety Corp (FRSC), Commander Sunday Ajokotola, confirmed that ten people were involved in a ghastly motor accident, in which four including a female were burnt to death along Lugbe-Airport Road. Ø On the 30th April, 20024. Men of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command arrested two notorious car thieves, Ibrahim Haliru (ex-convict) from Kano State and Babangida Mohammed in a hotel in Nasarawa State. The FCT commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh, disclosed this while parading the suspects in Abuja, he said the suspects had been responsible for some series of car theft in the FCT and its environs, five stolen vehicles and other items suspected to be charms exhibits were recovered. Ø On the 02nd May, 2024. Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), arrested two brothers Henry Odep (34) and Emmanuel Odep (23) for allegedly impersonating the Corp’s FCT Commandant, Olusola Odumosu, and other citizens on Facebook. |
