BENUE |
On 10th February 2025, a violent clash between two rival cult groups in the Wadata area of Makurdi metropolis in Benue State reportedly left four people dead with several other sustaining gunshot and axe injuries. The Police Spokeswoman for the Benue State Command, CSP Catherine Anene, did not respond to calls or text message sent to her over the incident. On 12th February 2025, intelligence driven efforts have it that that police operatives in Benue State paraded 101 suspects in connection with the renewed cult clashes in Wadata, a suburb of Makurdi metropolis. The Commissioner of Police, Steve Yabanet, confirmed the arrest. |
JIGAWA | On 11th February 2025, five persons killed reportedly killed in a road crash and 12 others Injured in Karishama Local Government Area of Jigawa State. The Chairman of Kirikasama Council, Muhammad Maji Wakili, confirmed the accident. |
KADUNA |
On 12th February 2025, following a crackdown on criminal elements, the operatives of Kaduna State apprehended 20, suspected kidnappers and 320 phone snitchers at different hideouts. The Commissioner of Police Rabiu Muhammed confirmed the arrest. He said 34 stolen vehicles, 10 stolen vehicles, one submachine gun and four AK47 refile recovered. On 13th February 2025, information has it that bandits in large numbers stormed and abducted 16 persons and set some houses ablaze in Makeri, Mai-Ido and Kushumi communities in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State. A community leader confirmed the incident. |
KATSINA | On 14th February 2025, following an intelligence gathering, security operatives arrested a medical practitioner identified as Lawan Ado, allegedly treating wounded bandits in Safana Local Government Area of the State. A Security Analyst, Zagazola Makama confirmed. |

On 13th February 2025, operatives of the NN stationed at TARKWA BAY, Apapa, swung into action and apprehended seven members of a notorious cross border patrol smuggling syndicate operating around Apapa, Ojo and Badagry axis in Lagos State. The Commander of the NNS BEECROFT Commodore Paul Ponfa Nimmyel. Confirmed. |
NASARAWA | On 10th February 2025, following an intelligence gathering, the operatives of the Nasarawa State Command arrested a student of the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, for allegedly hacking his colleague too death. The command’s PPRO, SP Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the arrests. |
ONDO |
On 10th February 2025, report has it that gunmen suspected to be kidnappers abducted a farmer and a labourer at Oke Oge, a settlement close to Oba Ile in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State. The Commander of Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, confirmed the incident. On 13th February 2025, credible report has it that a Lassa fever outbreak in Ondo State has resulted in 12 fatalities, with at least 112 confirmed cases. On 11th February 2025, gunmen suspected to be bandits invaded Harding community in Dogon Ruwa, Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State, and Abducted a husband, wife and their child and one person sustained a gunshot wound. A Youth leader, Shapi’I Sambo, confirmed the incident. |
YOBE |
On 12th February 2025, gunmen killed two police officers at the Kolere Police Outpost in Fune LGA. The Public Relation Officer of the Yobe State Police Command, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, confirmed the two deadly attacks. On 12th February 2025, report has it that the residents of Buni Yadi of Gujba LGA recounted their plights over incidents of losing properties and lives in the town due to lingering environmental challenges, especially gully erosion and persistent flooding. |
