· On 16th August. 2024, information has it that a renewed clashes between farmers and herders in Kodomun Community, Demsa Local Government Area of Adamawa State, resulted in three deaths and left eight individuals critically injured and properties worth millions of naira destroyed. SP Suleiman Nguroje, Public Relations Officer acknowledge the incident. |

· On 12th August. 2024, heavily armed men abducted three persons including a lawyer, in Nkpologwu community, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State. The President of Nkpologwu Community, Prof. Ferdinand Ezeiruaku, confirmed the incident. |

· On 14th August. 2024, flood killed three people and displaced thousands across several villages and communities in three local government areas of Bauchi State. The Director General of Bauchi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Mas’ud Aliyu, confirmed the fatalities, and said the flood caused extensive damage in Katagum, Shira and Giade LGAs. · On 16th August. 2024, intelligence gathering has it that the Bauchi State Police Command apprehended a 23-year-old, Ibrahim Mohamed Liman, the suspect allegedly responsible for the Kidnap and death of 8-year-old Kamal Aliyu in the Runjin Gani area of Toro LGA of Bauchi State. SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, disclosed his in a statement. |

· On 13th August. 2024, hoodlums reportedly burnt down 23 houses, leaving some with gunshot wounds in Egwuma Community of Agatu in Benue State. The Chairman of Agatu LGC, Philip Ebenyakwu, disclosed in a statement Makurdi, said three people were injured by gunshots fired at them by the hoodlums suspected to be armed herders.

· On 12th August. 2024, two people killed and seven passengers abducted in separate attacks suspected to be carried out by Boko Haram terrorists along the Maiduguri/Gamboru Ngala Road. A member of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in Mafa confirmed the incident, said their whereabouts remained unknown, but effort is ongoing to rescued them. Attempts to reach the state PPRO, Nahum Kenneth Daso, for comment, were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report. · On 14th August. 2024, intelligence report has it that the Nigerian Army troops have in a series of coordinated counter-insurgency operations neutralised five terrorists, while 44 others surrendered to the troops in Borno. It was learned that the troops recovered bombs, arms, ammunition, and rustled cattle as well as apprehended some criminal suspects during the operations. |

· On 15th August. 2024, gallant operatives of the Delta State Police Command arrested three suspected kidnappers identified as Sapiro, (real name unknown), Tony Binitie (29) aka “bobo”, of Big-Warti community, Ejiro Ewuba (30) and Ayuba Hussaini (38), after allegedly collecting the sum of N5 million from their 29-year-old victim. SP Edafe Bright, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, disclosed in Asaba, said the sum of N5 million was transferred from the victim’s account to an unknown bank account by the hoodlums. |

· On 13th August. 2024, gunmen suspected to be assassins reportedly stormed the residence of the one Mr. Stanley Aigbe, the Commander Edo State Security Network (ESSN), in the Evbuomomah community in Ikpoba-Okha LGA of Edo State. DSP Tijani Momoh, the Zone 5 Public Relations Officer, said the zone was aware of the matter and its under investigation. |

· On 13th August. 2024, a driver of an articulated vehicle conveying several tons of cement towards Ado-Ekiti, reportedly died in road accident while descending the Ifaki-Iworoko road, lost control, while the motor boy is still receiving treatment in the hospital. The Chairman of Ifedara LCDA, Mr. Lawrence Ogunsanya, mobilized responders to rescue the occupants. |

· On 12th August. 2024, four men lost their lives in a soak-away pit in the Umuoyala Egbu community in Owerri North LGA, Imo State. Report has it that the victims’ bodies were retrieved and taken to Holy Rosery Hospital, Emekuku, where medical doctor confirmed their dead bodies. The Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, confirmed the incident and stated that he would seek further details from the Owerri North Divisional Police Officer (DPO). |

· On 12th August. 2024, report has it that Tulla Village of Buji LGA of Jigawa State was thrown into mourning when three young girls, Fatima Sule (12), Nasiya Sale (12), and Huwaila (13) got drowned. It was gathered that victims were cutting grass near a pond to deed their livestock when they slipped and fell into the water. The Public Relations Officer of the state Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Badruddeen Tijjani Muhammed, confirmed tragedy, he said NSCDC operatives responded swiftly to the distress call and collaborated with locals to recover their bodies. · On 15th August. 2024, Report has it that severe flooding across 10 Local Government Areas in Jigawa State has resulted in the death of at least 16 people and displaced 3, 936 households, washed away 2,744 hectares of farmland. The Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Haruna Maria, confirmed the fatalities, he stressed that the flooding has had a severe impact on agricultural practice and livelihood in the region. |

· On 13th August. 2024, gunmen reportedly killed one Doctor Ishaya and abducting about eight others in an attacked launched on Kwassam in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The member representing Kaura Federal Constituency, Hon. Zakari Ahmad Chawai, confirmed the incident, said Kwassam and Dawaki wards in Kaura LGA witnessed incessant attack. · On 13th August. 2024, intelligence gathering has it that a Charcoal dealer, identified as Markus Bala, has been apprehended by soldiers for allegedly conveying foodstuffs, drugs, Indian hemp, cartons of cigarettes and wines to bandits at their hideout in Bishini in Kachai hideouts in Bishini in Kachai LGA OF Kaduna State. A community leader who preferred anonymity for security reasons confirmed the arrest. · On 13th August. 2024, armed bandits wielding AK-47 rifles in large number invaded and shot dead the village head of the Gefe community in Kajuru LGA of Kaduna State, Chief Emmanuel Idani, alongside two other locals. A resident, identified as Silas Musa, confirmed the incident, said the bandits whisked away 14 villagers including three women. The spokesman of the Kaduna State police command, ASP Hassan Mansur, is yet to respond to inquiries on the incident at the time of filing this report. · On 15th August. 2024, Intelligence gathering has it that soldiers arrested two suspected bandits who disguised in Kaftan to buy drugs and foodstuffs at SCC village market in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State. Yakubu Moses, a resident of the neighbouring village, acknowledge the incident. A community leader who confirmed the arrest said the bandits were arrested after one of their informants was arrested last week at the kagarko market. · On 16th August. 2024, bandits in their large numbers raided Isu, a community under Gujini district in Kagarko LGA, in Kaduna State. confirming this incident, the village head of Ngami, a neighbouring community, Micheal Duzaho, said all households and other valuables around the community were set ablaze by the attackers. · On 16th August. 2024, report has it that a middle-aged police officer captured in a viral video assaulting a Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KAEDCO) staff member has been identified as Inspector Aminu Yahaya Bidda, posted to Tudun Wada Police Station in Kaduna Metropolis, Kaduna State arrested. |

· On 15th August. 2024, Technical intelligence led operation by the operatives of the police command in Kano State reportedly apprehended two men over kidnapping and culpable homicide. The Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr. Salman-Dogo Garba, confirmed the arrest of principal suspect identified as Abdulazeez Adamu (35) and Abdullahi Alhassan (40) victim brother. |

· On 14th August. 2024, heavily armed gunmen reportedly killed His Royal Highness Shagari Ebijeego Job, the traditional chief (Onu) of Itama in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State in his residence. The residents reported that the unidentified gunmen drove aggressively into the town and proceeded directly to the chiefs residence. The Kogi State Police Command’s Public Relations. |

· On 12th August. 2024, operatives of the Kwara State Police Command, paraded 24 criminal suspects over cases of kidnapping, cultism and armed robbery, among others. The Commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya, confirmed the development, said items recovered from the suspects include two cut-to-size locally made axe, five expanded cartridges, one live 9mm R&B regular ammunition and two expended ammunition and two expended ammunitions. · On 13th August. 2024, report has it that two persons have reportedly been killed in a protracted land dispute between two Nupe communities, when some members of Ndeji and Lema communities in Edu Local Government Area in Kwara State, engaged in a deadly fight inside their farms. · On 12th August. 2024, intelligences gathering has it that operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) recovered multi-billion-naira worth of cocaine concealed in heavy duty automobile pivot shafts, and Ghanian fabric, Kente, among others in nationwide intelligence-led operation. Spokesman for the agency, Femi Babafemi, disclosed in a statement, said that this brings the total weight of cocaine seized in the two shipments to 12.814gs. |

· On 12th August. 2024, hoodlums reportedly looted valuables and burnt down the Redeemed Children Church of God (RCCG), Champion Zonal Headquarters, located along Federal College of Education Road in Kontagora, Niger State. Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, condemned the attack, further called on all relevant security agencies to conduct an immediate and thorough investigation into the incident. · On 13th August. 2024, report has it that two farmers lost their lives while unspecified number of others sustained bullet injuries during bandits’ attack in many communities including Durgu, Bobi, Kurigi, Wamba, Mongoro, Igwama in Mariga LGA as well as Uro in Mashegu LGA, Niger State. The Niger State Commissioner for Homeland Security, Brigadier General Bello Abdullahi M, did not respond to a message sent to his phone on the attack. · On 13th August. 2024, two people reportedly killed while others sustained severe cutlass cuts injuries when rival area boys of Korokpa area and Anguwan-Dokoko, Chanchaga Area of Minna, Niger State clashed. The spokesperson for the Niger State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, acknowledge the clash but was silent on the number of deaths. · On 14th August. 2024, bandits reportedly raided two farmhouses and killed a farmer manager located on the outskirt of Sabon-Wuse community in Tafa LGA of Niger State. commander of the security vigilante in the council, Hussaini Abubakar, confirmed the incident. · On 16th August. 2024, suspected hoodlums suspected to be from the rival community reportedly attacked an Immigration Officer, Isah Mohammed of Zhitsu Babi area of Doko and killed him in a land dispute between Doko and Kupafu communities in Lavun LGA of Niger State. The spokesperson for the Niger State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the incident. |

· On 14th August. 2024, 12 passengers were reportedly burnt to death around 3:14pm in another road crash near the Ogere axis of the highway in Ogun State. The FRSC spokesperson in Ogun State, Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident. · On 14th August. 2024, operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ogun State Command, paraded two suspects over alleged vandalism and impersonation at the command’s headquarters, Kobape Road, Abeokuta. The Corps’ Commandant, David Ojelabi, acknowledged the arrest. |

· On 14th August. 2024, police operatives apprehended six suspected armed robbers and recovered two vehicles. The command’s Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the arrest, said it was a breakthrough, adding that the suspects would be prosecuted. |

· On 14th August. 2024, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), confirmed that 16 people were killed in accident along the Ojo-Iwo Road sanction of the Lagos-Ibadan highway, near the Agbowo/Ajao are in Ibadan, Oyo State. The FRSC spokesperson in Oyo State, Mayowa Odewo, said the accident occurred when a trailer carrying roofing sheet lost control and collided with an 18-seater Hummer bus, a Micra taxi, and a Honda CR-V. |

· On 12th August. 2024, suspected terrorists reportedly ambushed soldiers along the Kukurau-Bangi Road in Gudu Local Government Area of Sokoto State while on patrol around 4pm, killed four soldiers, with two others injured. The Defence Media Operations, Major-General Edward Buba, acknowledged the incident, said the attack was carried out by terrorists from Niger Republic. He added, at about 2345hrs, troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI encountered an ambush by terrorists at the general area of Bachaka Kurya Forest in Gudu LGA of Sokoto State. · On 12th August. 2024, report has it that a family of 7 died after easting cassava delicacy at Runjin Barmo village of Kajiji District in Shagari Local Government Area of Sokoto State. The village head, Muhammadu Modi Magajin Runjin Barmo, confirmed the incident, said the victims were Malam Abubakar, his wife and their five children. |

· On 13th August. 2024, seven travelers including a driver were reportedly killed by gunmen along Takum-Wakari Road. The acting Police Public Relations Officer Taraba State, DSP Kwache Gambo, confirmed the incident, said a lecturer at Federal University Wakari and Deputy Registrar of Taraba State School of Health Technology, Takum were among the passengers killed by the gunmen. |

· On 13th August. 2024, bandits reportedly killed two drivers and abducted scores of passengers in two drivers and abducted scores of passengers in two separate attacks in Magazu village Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The Zamfara State Police Commissioner, CP Muhammad Shehu Dalijan, confirmed the attack. |

· On 12th August. 2024, two suspected hoodlums apprehended while stealing maize at a farm along Yimi-Machadna community near Zuba Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT. A member of the vigilante group in the area said the incident happened around 11pm when the suspects invaded a large maize farm, which belongs to one Malam Rabiu Gambo. · On 15th August. 2024, report has it that two hoodlums arrest for allegedly stealing tubers of yam in Dogon-Ruwa community in Gawu Ward in Abaji Area Council of the FCT. A resident, Ismaila Umar, confirmed the incident, said the owner of the farm identified as Gimba, caught the suspects and alerted other farmers who came and apprehended them and handed them over to vigilantes. · On 15th August. 2024, a suspected motorcycle thief has been reportedly set ablaze by mob along Gyeshe village in the Kwaku ward of the Kuje Area Council of the FCT. A vigilante who preferred anonymity confirmed the incident, lamenting incessant cases of motorcycle snatching in the area. · On 16th August. 2024, information has it that there was apprehension in Shere community in Bwari Area Council of the FCT, following a purported letter dropped by bandits threatening to carry out an attack on the community. The effort to speak with the FCT police command’s spokesperson, SP Josphine Adeh, were not successful up till the time of filing this report. · On 16th August. 2024, a man identified as Muazu Bala, reportedly stabbed his friend to death over a handset they claimed to have found furring the last huger protest at Unguwar Tipper garage inn Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT. Shehu Usman, a resident of the area and also a vigilante personnel, said the incident happened around 1030hr |
