BAYELSA
• On 3rd April 2025, two persons confirmed dead, while 13 others are still missing after a speedboat carrying passengers from Anyama Ijaw towards Lubia and Foropa communities in Southern Ijaaw collide with a fishing boat. The Chairman of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigerian in Bayelsa State, Comrade Ogoniba Ipiggansi, confirmed the accident.
BENUE
• On 31st March 2025, a 14-year-old girl commits suicide over pregnancy in Egba village of Agatu Local Government Area in Benue State. Dr. Oyaje Sule, who is the medical doctor in the neighborhood, confirmed the incident.
• On 4th April 2025, credible gathering has it that a suspected armed robbers reportedly stormed and killed Joseph Gabriel a 22-year-old resident of Ojoga community in Ichama district of Okpokwu LGA of Benue State. The incident occurred when the deceased walked into the robbers while they were trying to break into a shop around 2300hrs.
EDO
• On 31st March 2025, credible intelligence has it that families of the 16 northern travelers that were lynched at Uromi in Edo State cried out for justice.
• On 2nd April Following an intelligence gathering, the Edo State Government confirmed operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) apprehended two principles suspects linked to the killing of 16 Nigerians of Northern extraction in Uromi, Esan Northeast Local Government Area. Press Secretary to the Governor Monday Okpebholo, confirmed the arrest following credible intelligence.
GOMBE
• On 31st March 2025, report has it that Gombe State Police Command confirmed the death of two children following a stamp at the Gombe Central Eid Ground. The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Buhari Abdullahi disclosed the incident.
KATSINA
• On 31st March 2025, information has it that nine passengers were confirmed dead in a fatal road accident along the Malumfashi-Kafur Road in Katsina State. The Katsina State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Aliyu Ma’aji, confirmed the accident, he urged motorists to maintain caution, warning against speeding.
• On 31st March 2025, Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) apprehended four suspects, during a raid on Godai village in Daura LGA of the state, where 684 blocks of compressed stunk, a strain of cannabis weighing 423kgs and 86,000 pills of diazepam were recovered from them. The spokesman of the agency, Femi Babafemi, confirmed the arrest
KWARA
• On 4th April 2025, two people have been crushed to death by a tanker driver in Okoolowo, Ilorin West LGA of Kwara State. The Federal Road Safety Corp confirmed the incident, said the tanker driver absconded after the incident.
LAGOS
• On 1st April 2025, the police operatives in Lagos State rescue two kidnap victims and launched a search for their alleged abductors. The command spokesperson CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the operation.
NASARAWA
• On 2nd April 2025, credible intelligence has it that Nasarawa State Police Command rescued two kidnapped students at the Federal University of Lafia and arrested a notorious kidnapper in the state. The command’s spokesperson, SP Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the rescue operation
PLATEAU
• On 1st April 2025, credible gathering has it that no fewer than three persons were reportedly killed with many injured when members of rival groups, popularly known as Sara -Suka, clashed in Jos, the Plateau State capital.
SOKOTO
• On 3rd April 2025, intelligence report has it that notorious bandit kingpin, Kachalla Bello Turji, killed 11 farmers in Lugu town, Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State. A resident of Isa, Basharu Altine Giyawa, confirmed the incident, and said the locals had received intelligence about Turji’s planned attack on the eastern part of Gatawa in Sabon Birni LGA.
FEDERAL CAPITAL TERRITORY (FCT)
• On 31st March 2025, two people lost their lives while 17 others sustained various degrees of injuries after a trailer crash at an army checkpoint in Abaji, along the Abuja-Lokoja Road. An official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who preferred anonymity, confirmed the incident, said 22 people were involved in the accident.
• On 1st April 2025, information has it that a couple, alongside four other relations reportedly lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident which occurred at Ahoko bridge, along the Abuja-Lokoja highway.
