ADAMAWA
• On 5th February 2025, report has it that a major fire broke out at an MRS Filing station, along Numan Road, Opposite Jezco Filling Station, near International Airport, leaving extensive damage behind. The Adamawa State Police Command said it has launched an investigation.
ANAMBRA
• On 3rd February 2025, acting on credible information, the operatives of the Anambra State Police Command arrested a child trafficker identified as Joshua Simeon (32), while attempting to flee with 5-year-old girl, Nkemdilim Jacob. The State Police State Command Spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed.
• On 6th February 2025, an unknown assailant gruesomely murders three siblings in Nnewichi Nnewi LGA of the State. The Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs. Ify Obinabo, confirmed the incident.
BAUCHI
• On 7th February 2025, credible intelligence has it that Bauchi State Police Command arrested a gang of suspected electric cable vandals and recovered a bunch of aluminum cables from them. The Police Public Relations Officer Bauchi State Command’s CSP Ahmed Wakil, confirmed.
BENUE
• On 7th February 2025, at least five hunters have been reportedly by alleged armed invaders in a fresh attack on the Okpomaju community of Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Catherine Anene, confirmed the attack.
BORNO
• On 7th February 2025, two people killed and four injured along Harang and Jibhuhwui villages of Hawul LGA of Borno on their way to Garkida market, Adamawa State for market by Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDS) planted by Boko Haram terrorist. The Police Public Relations Officer, Borno State Command, ASP Kenneth Daso, confirmed the incident.
EBONYI
• On 3rd February 2025, suspected armed herdsmen attacked Amegu Nkalagha community in Ishielu LGA of Ebonyi State, killing about twenty people and properties worth millions of naira destroyed. The Public Relations Officer in the State, DSP Joshua Ukandu confirmed the attack.
KADUNA
• On 3rd February 2025, credible intelligence gathering has it that Kaduna State Police Operatives rescued 23 kidnapped victims from bandits in the Kajuru Forest, located in Kajuru LGA, Kaduna State. The Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Mohammed, confirmed the bravery and professionalism involved in the operation.
• On 5th February 2025, gunmen killed four people and injured several others in two separate attacks on Akansan Garmadi and Galadimawa villages in Rumaya Kaduna Strate.
KANO
• On 4th February 2025, following a violent clashed between security operatives and violent resistance in Rimin Zakara, Ungogo LGA of Kano State, resulted to 4 persons death.
KATSINA
• On 7th February 2025, armed gunmen suspected to be kidnappers invaded Tsiga village, Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State, abducting Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga (rtd) and former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), among others. The lawmaker representing Bakori/Danja Federal Constituency, Abdullahi Balarabe Dabai, confirmed the attack.
KEBBI
• On 4th February 2025, following an intelligence the Kebbi State Police Command apprehended 165 illegal immigrants from Burkina Faso, Mali, Ivory Coast, Benin Republic, and Niger Republic, all residing in three-bedroom flat in Kuwait area of Birnin Kebbi. The Public Relations Officer, CSP Nafiu Abubakar confirmed.
KWARA
• On 7th February 2025, credible gathering has it that four suspected kidnappers, who specialise in exhorting residents through phone numbers, apprehended by the operatives Kwara State Police Command. The spokeswoman, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, confirmed the arrest.
LAGOS
• On 4th February 2025, intelligence gathering has it that operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCD), Lagos State command arrested four suspects, overalled economic sabotage and heinous crimes in the state. The State Commander of the Corps, Mr. Adedoyin Keshinro. Confirmed the arrest.
NASARAWA
• On 6th February 2025, credible information has it that a police stable attached to Mada Police Division in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa State allegedly shot and killed himself. The State Police Public Relation Officer, Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the incident.
NIGER
• On 4th February 2025, four people died and 13 others sustained injuries in a road crash along lapai-Agaie road in Niger State. the Director General of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA), confirmed the accident.
ONDO
• On 3rd February 2025, information indicted that at least 30 passengers were burnt to death in an auto crash, which occurred in the Onipetes area of Mile 49 on the Ore-Lagos Road in Odigbo LGA of Ondo State. The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Samuel Ibitoye, confirmed the incident.
• On 5th February 2025, credible gathering has it that gunmen abducted 10 passengers at the Ikpele Strech of the Benin-Owo Expressway in Ondo State. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO),, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, confirmed the incident.
PLATEAU
• On 3rd February 2025, following a communal violence between Fulani and Mwaghavul ethnic groups resulting in one women death and three injured. In another incident four youths were ambushed and killed in Lightlubang village and another attack in the Chisu community left a family of five dead. The Director of Public Affairs for the Mwaghavul Development Association (MDA), Lawrence Kyarshik, confirmed the incident.
• On 4th February 2025, one person shot dead while four others were abducted in Shendai community of Namu District of Quaan-Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State. The Chairman of Quaan-Pan LGA, Christopher Audu Manship, confirmed the incident.
RIVERS
• On 3rd February 2025, three people killed, and three suspects apprehended following a violent clash between rival cult groups in Onne, Eleme Local Government Area of River State. The spokesperson for the State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident in Port Harcourt.
TARABA
• On 3rd February 2025, gunmen suspected to be kidnappers invaded Piroje village in Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State, one person killed, and nine others kidnapped. The spokespersons of the Taraba State Police Command SP Usman Abdullahi confirmed the attack.
• On 4th February 2025, credible intelligence gathering has it that troops from the 6 Brigade of the Nigerian Army napped 23 bandits, including five females at a notorious kidnappers’ camp in the State. The Spokespersons of the Brigade, Captain Olubodunde Oni, Confirmed the arrest, 16 motorcycles, four AK47 rifles and five Magazine among other weapons recovered.
ZAMFARA
• On 6th February 2025, information has it that fire engulfed a Qur’anic recitation room in Tudunwada area of Kaura-Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State, 17 school pupils killed in the fire incident. The Ward head of Dan-Isa Village, Malam Hassan Isa , confirmed the incident.
FEDERAL CAPITAL TERRITORY (FCT)
• On 3rd February 2025, following a credible intelligence gathering, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command rescued a young woman identified as Promise Eze, from the clutches of suspected ritualists at a hotel in Abuja. The Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, confirmed the incident.
• On 5th February 2025, three passengers lost lives while 11 others sustained various degrees of injury after two buses collided at Ochonyi village, near Aseni along the Abuja-Lokoja highway. One of the FRSC officials who was part of the operation but preferred anonymity, confirmed the incident. Said injured victims and corpses were taken to the Abaji General Hospital by the FRSC officials in Abaji.

ADAMAWA

On 30th January 2025, credible information has it that a 20-yeaar-old woman, Jamila Ishiaku, arrested for allegedly scalding her pregnant sister-in-law with hot water while was in labour. The State Police Public Relations

BORNO

On 27th January 2025, intelligence gathering it that following troops several encounters with suspected Boko Haram terrorists on the border of Yobe and Borno States, 22 soldiers and many members of the civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) killed. The outgoing Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba confirmed. He revealed that the terrorists special forces commander known as Talha, and over 70-foot soldiers were neutralized by the Nigerian troops. 

ENUGU

On 27th January 2025, following a fuel tanker crashed explosion around 1100hr at Ugwu Onyeama along the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, killed about 20 people. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Olusegun Ogungbemide, confirmed 18 burned beyond recognition during the accident.

GOMBE

On 31st January 2025, credible intelligence information has it that police operatives intercepted two suspects over theft of 85 animals. The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Buhari Abdullahi, confirmed the arrest.

LAGOS

On 27th January 2025, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepted a consignment of Lound, a synthetic strain of cannabis, concealed in duvet and packaged for export to the United Kingdom through the cargo shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Ikeja, Lagos State.

NIGER

On 27th January 2025, report has it that at least three persons died while others sustained injuries after an explosion at Sabon-Pegi community in Mashegu LGA of Niger State. The Management Agency, Abdullahi Baba Arah, confirmed the incident. 

On 29th January 2025, operatives of the police in Niger State apprehended three vigilantes for alleged murder of a 30-year-old Muhammed Bello of Awala village in Rijau Local Government Area of the state. The State Commissioner of Police, Shawulu E. Danmamman, confirmed the arrest.

On 30th January 2025, after credible intelligence information, the operatives attached to the Special Investigation Squad, Zone 7 Police Command, Abuja paraded four suspects over alleged armed robbery, kidnapping and also recovered firearms from them. The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the zone, Benneth Igweh, confirmed.

ONDO

On 27th January 2025, operative of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun Corps, apprehended a man identified as Monday Ojowuro, who allegedly specialized in robbing commercial motor operators in Akure, the state capital. The Commander of the Amotekun, Adetunji Adeleye, confirmed the arrest.

On 31st January 2025, information has it that gunmen killed five farmers in a violent attack on the Ajegunle Powerline community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State. The Ondo State Police spokesperson Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya confirmed the incident.   

FEDERAL CAPITAL TERRITORY (FCT)

On 27th January 2025, following an intelligence gathering, 8 suspects apprehended while 100 rounds of live 7.62x 39 ammunition and hard drugs were recovered during a raid on some black spots in Abuja by operatives of the FCT police command. The Commissioner of Police CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu confirmed. 

On 29th January 2025, Credible Intelligence gathering has it that the Nigeria Police Force apprehended three syndicate supplying motorcycles to Boko Haram terrorists in Niger and Kaduna States. The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of zone 7, Benneth

Igweh, confirmed, said 22 motorcycles, multiple master keys, and stolen phones were recovered from the suspects.
